I took the bus from the airport (about 45 minutes) to Kowloon.  I missed my stop so I walked back an extra half mile or so.  This part of town is lit up like Times Square but with a slightly different flavor.  Not to worry, there is plenty of neon too.

I finally got to my room about 10:00 last night.  I didn’t crawl out until 9:00am.  I walked around my neighborhood and then down to Jordan station to pick up a metro map.  I popped in to a very small little cafe for lunch.  Noodles with onion and BBQ pork, very tasty.  The locals in the place were mostly ordering noodle bowls so I’ll have to give that a try tomorrow.

I had read about a goldfish market and made it my mission to find it.  This place has wall-to-wall fish everywhere.

From there I walked down to the harbour.  On the other side is Hong Kong Island,  (I am staying in Kowloon, just to the north.) It is pretty wet and drizzly, but I think that is keeping it cooler than it would be otherwise.

Back to my room for another nap (3-1/2 hours) and this evening I walked back to the harbour to watch the nightly laser show.  I did not video it but I found a link for you to see it on youtube.
