We arrived in Hunedoara early this afternoon. Some of our fellow travelers had arrived with suitcases full of very elaborate costumes. Since we had done the backpack week in England, we were light on costumes. I brought some black and white make up and a pair of skeleton gloves but that was it. We took off into town to see what we could find.
I found a large lightweight black bed covering at a second hand shop that was easily dismantled and refashioned into a full-body wrap. Nicole found a peasant outfit and transformed into Babushka. She helped me with my make-up and we were off to Hunyad (Corvin) Castle for the Halloween party.
There were torches lit across the moat bridge. There was also a bonfire in an area behind the castle. Our friends from Australia took the prize for best costume for their vampire wedding costumes and Nicole was awarded something I think they made up on the spot for her in-character cranky Babushka.
