I am back in Male after 7 days in paradise. Every day snorkel, breakfast, move to next reef, snorkel, lunch, explore a small island, snorkel, dinner, rinse and repeat.
These reefs provided the best snorkeling I’ve ever had. Plentiful fish, healthy reef, amazing clear water.
I struggled using my new GoPro underwater, most of the time I thought I was shooting video, it was set for still and vice versa. I ordered my prescription mask lensed for distance, not realizing I wouldn’t be able to see the small characters on the camera underwater. It also took a while to figure out what lens filter worked best at which times and depth. I was able to take shots from the boat and ashore with my phone and will post several below.
The crew caught, and we had fresh fish every day. So many ways to fix them that I never thought of. Who knew I would love tuna spaghetti?
This is one trip I may try to repeat. Awesome!
